This blog invites you to share in the excitement that international traveler Monica Maxwell experienced while touring with ATS.

Questions:

1. Where have you traveled to with African Travel Seminars?

Ghana, Togo, Benin, Egypt, Brazil, and Tanzania

2. What are some of the highlights from your trips, your favorite countries, etc?

The slave river in Ghana, my first hot air balloon ride and seeing the pyramids in Egypt and every market visited. They are loaded with wonderful and memorable items.

3. What would you tell anyone contemplating a trip to Africa.

Erase all the negative images and talk generated by the media and go and see for yourself. My first visit was in the 1990s. Upon landing and leaving the plane it felt like a warm hug. I felt a connection. There is something for everyone, i.e. culture, arts and crafts, for nature loverssights are endless, and finally the people are kind and welcoming. To date, I have visited 10 nations and plan on doing more.

4. Why should people travel with African Travel Seminars?

I discovered ATS through a web search. Afterwards, I watched them for several years to determine if there was longevity and if they were reliable before I decided to use them. My first trip was wonderful and I was not disappointed. Communication was great, transfers were seamless. Independently, I travel a great deal, however, my go to is ATS. The trips are expertly curated; the tour operator is knowledgeable and a joy to work with. As a bonus there are sometimes opportunities to give back to local communities via the school visits.

5. What’s your next trip?

February 2027 - Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia, with ATS of course.

6. Anything else you want to add

You can’t go wrong with ATS. Give them a try.
