DAY 01: - OCTOBER 18, 2008 - DEPART THE US FROM JFK, NY
Arrive for check in at JFK International airport. Depart on flight in the evening.
DAY 02: - OCTOBER 19, 2008 - JOHANNESBURG CAPE TOWN
Arrive at Johannesburg International Airport and proceed to Cape Town. Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport you will be met by your new English speaking guide and transferred to your hotel.

DAY 03: - OCTOBER 20, 2008 - CITY TOUR TOWNSHIP ROBBEN ISLAND
After breakfast this morning you’ll embark on a tour of the “Mother City”, your first visit will be to the Company Gardens followed by a visit to the Cape Malay Quarter with its cobble stoned streets and rich Malay influence. Afterwards you’ll depart to South Africa’s oldest township, Langa; here you will visit one of the townships schools and a Sangoma (traditional healer). Afterwards you’ll travel back to V&A Waterfront to embark on a 3½ hour tour incl. Ferry time to Robben Island most famous or infamous, for having been the isolated prison of former South African President Nelson Mandela, also known as a place of banishment for the Leper people, Robben Island has a lot of history. You’ll travel back to V&A Waterfront where you’ll have the rest of day at leisure.

DAY 04: - OCTOBER 21, 2008 - CAPE PENINSULA
You will depart on a Cape Peninsula Tour this morning; you’ll travel past the Atlantic coast bypassing Sea Point, Camps Bay to Hout Bay where you will embark on a Seal Island Tour. Return to Hout Bay Harbour and depart to Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve home to thousands of flora and fauna. Enjoy a trip with the Funicular to the point where the Two Ocean’s meet. Lunch will be enjoyed at a nearby restaurant (not included). You’ll have an opportunity to visit the jackass penguins at Boulders Beach before returning back to Cape Town.

DAY 05: - OCTOBER 22, 2008 - WINELANDS
This morning after breakfast you’ll depart Cape Town for the wine lands where you will partake in a cooking demonstration of local cuisine by chefs in training at Zevenwacht Wine Farm. You will partake in various wine tasting and food demonstrations followed by lunch (included). Afterwards proceed to the New Beginnings winery for a tour. You depart to Franschoek for a stroll in this small town. If time allows you will visit the historic town of Stellenbosch with its oak lined trees; return to Cape Town in the late afternoon.

DAY 06: - OCTOBER 23, 2008 - DAY AT LEISURE
The day is at leisure to explore the many more attractions the Mother City has to offer.

DAY 07: - OCTOBER 24, 2008 CAPE TOWN - JOHANNESBURG
Transfer to the Cape Town airport; depart on your flight to Johannesburg. Upon arrival at Johannesburg International Airport you will be met & transferred by your English - speaking guide via short Johannesburg City Tour to your hotel. Check in at your hotel. Rest of day will be at leisure

DAY 08: - OCTOBER 25, 2008 - JOHANNESBURG PILANESBERG
This morning after breakfast you’ll check out and travel to the Pilanesberg area via a cultural visit to Lesedi Cultural Village where you will enjoy a welcome song, drink, and traditional dance followed by a guided tour of the ethnic villages. A Traditional Dance Show will be enjoyed followed by an African feast for lunch (included). You will proceed to the Pilansberg area where you will check in at the Bakubung Lodge. Dinner at lodge- rest of day at leisure

DAY 09: - OCTOBER 26, 2008 - BAKUBUNG GAME LODGE
The day is at leisure enjoying the many activities the lodge has to offer. The high point here will be a morning and an evening game drive to observe lions, elephants, rhinos, gazelles, zebras, many species of birds, and countless wildlife in their own habitat.

DAY 10: - OCTOBER 27, 2008 - BAKUBUNG GAME LODGE SOWETO
After breakfast this morning you will depart the African bush and return to Johannesburg via a Soweto Tour-one of the largest townships in South Africa-which comprises a number of Townships which were developed by South Africa’s suppressive white dominated government during the 20th century. You’ll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant Wandie’s (not included) followed by a visit to the Orlando Children’s Home for abused, abandoned, and HIV/AIDS orphans. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the children. Return to your hotel, the rest of day will be at leisure

DAY 11: - OCTOBER 28, 2008 DEPART JOHANNESBURG
Transfer to Johannesburg International Airport in the afternoon and bid farewell to South Africa then depart for NY.
DAY 12: - OCTOBER 29, 2008 ARRIVE IN NY
Arrive at JFK International Airport and proceed through immigration and customs.

Durban & Lesotho Extension
DAY 11: - OCTOBER 28, 2008 JOHANNESBURG DURBAN
This morning transfer from your hotel to the Johannesburg Airport to board your flight to Durban. Upon arrival in Durban you will be met and transferred to your hotel via a City Tour with your driver/guide.
Overnight at the Southern Sun North Beach (BB)
DAY 12: - OCTOBER 29, 2008 SUNI PASS LESOTHO
Your full day guided tour to Lesotho departs from the Underberg Village Mall (shop 21) at 9.30am. The tour will take you through Himeville and then on to the Sani Pass. Our qualified, registered guide will stop at historical points and view sites to explain the saga of Sani Pass and its interesting history and to enable you to take photos of the magnificent views. Valid passports must be produced at both the South African and Lesotho border posts. Once you arrive in Lesotho we will take you to an authentic Basotho village where you will be welcomed into the homes of these hardy people to taste their beer and bread. This is an authentic village and NOT a tourist attraction in the true sense of the word. We will then take you back to Sani Top Chalet for lunch. You will have enough time here to walk along the very edge of the Drakensberg.
We depart Sani Top by 2.30pm to return you to the Underberg Mall between 4.00pm and 4.30pm depending on the road and weather conditions.
Please remember to bring warm clothing, ie jersey or jacket and closed shoes at any time of year. In the winter months, May August, there is always a probability of snow and temperatures rarely get above +3 Celsius. Please bring appropriate clothing.

DAY 13: - OCTOBER 30, 2008 DURBAN JOHANNESBURG
Today you will have a free morning to rest or shop before transferring from hotel to Durban Airport for your flight to Johannesburg. Once in Johannesburg you will board your flight to NY bidding farewell to Southern Africa until you return.
DAY 14: - OCTOBER 31, 2008 - NY
Arrive at JFK International Airport at 7:30 am. You’ll proceed through immigration and customs.
