Day 01 Departure from NY
Mon, Oct. 13 Depart USA on a nonstop flight from JFK to Egypt at 6:30 pm
Day 02 Arrival in Cairo
Tue, Oct. 14 Arrival at Cairo international airport; you’ll be met in the airport where you’ll be assisted through formalities by ATS representative and transferred to Cairo Sheraton Hotel
Day 03 Cairo City Tour
Wed, Oct. 15 This morning your guide will introduce you to the masterpieces of ancient art in the Egyptian Museum, including the treasures of Tutankhamun. Drive to Old Cairo, where early Judaism and Christianity flourished in Egypt. Visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue and Saint Serguis Church. After lunch drive to the Islamic quarter to stroll the Great Citadel begun by Saladin and visit the Mohammed Ali Mosque, also known as the "Alabaster Mosque". Enjoy a walking tour of the colorful Khan El Khalili Bazaar district before returning to your hotel. Overnight at Cairo Sheraton
Day 04 Highlights of Sphinx, Giza & Memphis & Sakkara
Thu, Oct. 16 Buffet Breakfast at your hotel in Cairo. Proceed with full day city tour visiting the three Pyramids; the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus these Pyramids were reckoned by Greeks to be one of the seven wonder of the world. A single Pyramid is built with 2,300,000 blocks, each weighing an average of two and one half tons. Not far from the pyramids is the great Sphinx of Giza, which dates from the time of Chephren 2620BC. Take a lunch break. After lunch, continue on to ancient Memphis, the first capital of united Upper and Lower Egypt, and Sakkara, the site of the Step Pyramid of Zoser. Return to Cairo in the late afternoon. Overnight at Cairo Sheraton Hotel
Day 05 Cairo Luxor Cruise
Fri, Oct. 17 Have breakfast at hotel, and then transfer to Airport for your flight to Luxor. Arrive in Luxor then transfer to board your cruise for 4 nights / 5 days to Aswan on Full Board basis. Embarkation; then you will have lunch on board the cruise. Proceed with the visits of the East bank which include Luxor temple & the temple complex of Karnak which beats every other Pharaonic monuments except the Pyramids of Giza built on a leviathan scale to house the gods. Transfer back to the cruise. Dinner and overnight on board the cruise in Luxor
Day 06 Highlights of Valley of the Kings & Esna
Sat, Oct. 18 After breakfast proceed with the visits of West Bank which include The Colossi of Memenon, The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El-Bahari (Northern Monastery) and the Valley of Kings which was intended as the ultimate insurance policy on life eternal. These secretive tombs of New Kingdom Pharaohs were planned to preserve their mummies and for eternity. After lunch on board, the cruise ship sails to Esna. Dinner and overnight will be on board the cruise in Esna.
Day 07 Esna Edfu Kom-Ombo
Sun, Oct. 19 This morning continue sail to Edfu; visit the Temple of Edfu which is dedicated to the god Horus. Lunch on Board during sail to Kom-Ombo, Visit Temple of Kom-Ombo which was built on a hillside overlooking the Nile. Dinner and overnight on board the cruise in Kom-Ombo
Day 08 Kom-Ombo Aswan Home of Nubians
Mon, Oct. 20 Have breakfast on board, sail to Aswan. Have lunch on board the cruise ship. This afternoon enjoy a tour by Felucca around Elephantine Island which was one of the most powerful forts on Egypt's southern borders. Dinner and overnight on board cruise ship in Aswan
Day 09 Aswan - Cairo
Tue, Oct. 21 Breakfast then disembark from the cruise and begin with the visits of Aswan which include the world famous High Dam which was an engineering miracle when it was built in the 1960s.
Proceed to the Unfinished Obelisk which gives us a great deal of information about how the original builders set about their tasks. Then to the Temple of Philae which was dedicated to goddess Isis. This temple was flooded by the river of the Nile. Finally transfer to Aswan airport for your flight to Cairo, arrival Cairo, then transfer to your hotel, and overnight at Cairo Sheraton Hotel
Day 10 Cairo JFK, NY
Wed, Oct. 22 Depart Cairo this morning at 9:10 am arriving at JFK at 3:15pm this same day
