Day 1: SAN JOSE

Depart from the USA. Arrive in San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica. Check into your hotel. Villa Tournon or similar

DAY 2: TORTUGUERO

From San Jose, you will drive through the spectacular cloud forest in the Braulio Carrillo National Park. Continue on a riverboat journey which will take you to your lodge in Tortuguero National Park. This research park, one of the most exotic regions in the world, is also home to the most important green sea turtle nesting ground in the Western Caribbean. All meals are included while in Tortuguero. Pachira Lodge or similar (B/L/D)

DAY 3: TORTUGUERO

Today you explore the marvelous Tortuguero National Park. Hiking and boat trips are included. Meander through the system of natural and man-made canals to get a closer look at the different flora and fauna. (B/L/D)

DAY 4: GANDOCA MANZANILLO WILDLIFE REFUGE

This morning depart Tortuguero via riverboat and head south toward the Panama border. Upon arrival, soak up the sun on the tropical beaches of the Caribbean coast at Gandoca. Suerre Caribbean Beach or similar (B/D)

DAY 5: Sloth Sanctuary

Enjoy a guided journey into the slow and steady world of the sloth. This tour allows you to take in the sights and sounds of the center. The experience will be both fun and educational for everyone and offer a truly once in a lifetime experience. Sleep in your lodge among the sounds and smells of the jungle. Suerre Caribbean Beach or similar (B/D)

DAY 6: GUAPILES

Enjoy a final morning in Gandoca. This afternoon drive north out of the National Park to the Hotel Suerre where you will relax in a country club atmosphere. Guapiles is an important banana growing area; it's beautiful and considered to be the gateway between the central highlands and the Caribbean Coast. Suerre Caribbean Beach or similar (B/D)

DAY 7: SAN CARLOS

Travel back to the Braulio Carrillo National Park to see one of the most biologically diverse parks in Costa Rica from a different view. Journey through this primary rain forest on the Aerial Tram to discover the flora and fauna up close then continue on to the Arenal Volcano region. Overnight at Villas Eco Arenal or similar (B/D)

DAY 8: SAN CARLOS

This morning, visit the impressive La Fortuna Waterfall and then view the Arenal Volcano, one of the most active volcanoes in the world. This evening relax in the pools of the hot springs, while listening to the rumbling of the volcano. Overnight at Villas Eco Arenal or similar (B/D)

DAY 9: SAN JOSE

Drive back to San Jose to enjoy some last-minute souvenir shopping. Overnight at Villa Tournon or similar (B/D)

DAY 10: DEPARTURE

We will transfer you to the airport for depart for the USA after a memorable Costa Rican experience that has been filled with fun, adventure, and discovery (B)
